The Wildlife Ranger Challenge is launching today! Ranger teams across Africa are uniting for the second year in a row for the #WildlifeRangerChallenge, a race with one goal: to support thousands of rangers and threatened species including painted dogs, pangolins, rhinos, and lions.

Painted Dog Conservation (PDC) - First Quarter Project Update April 2021
Our Research and Children's Bush Camp activities were among the most impacted by COVID-19, the latter being totally shut since March 2020. Now that regulations permit we are getting back on track, and you can read about our continued anti-poaching work, doing our part in the fight against the pandemic and adjusting our lives accordingly at PDC.
As you know, many of our activities and programmes had been put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are happy to report that life is beginning to get back to normal, or at least the so-called “new normal” with most of our programme areas now operational again.

2020 was one of the most challenging of all years, dominated by the COVID-19 pandemic of course. It's appropriate to pause and reflect on the immense suffering, which is still impacting so many on a scale that is hard to fathom. Life at PDC had to continue and we managed to do so thanks to your incredible support.

The COVID-19 pandemic is, of course, still dominating the landscape and continuing to impact all of us on a day-to-day basis, presenting challenges that we never knew existed a few months ago. March and April were excruciatingly long months but since then time seems to have flown past and it’s hard to believe that we are into October already. Schools here are just opening and at the same time talking about when they will close for Christmas!
